Stress causes the young employees to take sick leave, the study
Companies by 40% more likely to get sick because of stress, compared with older employees, writes The Telegraph. Perhaps young people face a lot of stress, knowing up to their expectations and hopes.
Also possible that young people are just more aware of the signs of stress. In general, the number of workers who become ill because of stress factors in the last year has increased significantly, state the experts from the Friends Life.
For example, 67% in the group aged 18-24 took sick leave last year. In the group of 25-34-year rate is 54%, and among 35-44-year-olds – 47%. Only 43% of workers 45-55 years take sick leave, the statistics. Among the 55-year mark was kept at 49%.
As reported by experts Friends Life, with the onset of the financial crisis, people began to experience more stress. It was said half of the 2,000 respondents. The most common causes of unrest are money, work and relationships.
Dr Ian Drever does not preclude: modern young people can be easier to work on the claim that they are under stress. Plus, they are probably able to recognize stress in the early stage of development, for example, to sleep disorders or cognitive impairment.
