YEREVAN, October 22 – News-Armenia. Laboratory studies have confirmed the presence of anthrax in one of the hospitalized in Armenia with symptoms of the disease, according to the website of the Ministry of Health.
Ministry of Health has recently received information from Vardenis region Gegharkunik region in the north-east of the country that the suspected anthrax was hospitalized 21 people. Later agency reported one suspect case in Yerevan.
“Upon receipt of the signal were conducted epidemiological studies carried out preventive and control measures. As a result of laboratory samples from 15 people who were hospitalized on October 17, confirmed the presence of anthrax in one person, “- said in a statement.
We identified nine nonspecific anthrax, which is caused by the use of antibiotics, and the samples from five people who were negative.
