According to Dr. Frank Hu of the Harvard School of Public Health, scientists have been arguing about the dangers of sugary drinks in terms of risk of developing diabetes. He decided to analyze in detail the situation, reports Reuters.
Dr. Hu and his colleagues collected information on diet and general health 82,902 American women over 12 years. During this time, approximately 2,700 developed diabetes. As it turned out, the amount you drink does not affect the risk of developing the disease. But the love of the sweet drink everything changes.
For every cup of juice or soda, drink a day increased the risk of around 10%.
